Rename your digital image files using informative and descriptive filenames. Use EXIF date/time and other info. Version 2.0 adds support for Nikon NEF files, Explorer integration, and more. Most digital cameras produce image files named something like DSC_3179.jpg. For most practical purposes, such filenames are meaningless and completely useless.

PhotoRename can rename all your image files (and other files, too) to something more meaningful. You can automatically extract and format EXIF date and time (found in practically all files produced by modern digital cameras), image pixel size, etc.
